2015 Lineup / California Theatre Stage

The California Theatre is a gorgeous 1920’s movie and vaudeville house, recently restored to its former grandeur. Located seconds away from the Main Stage, this lavish indoor playhouse boasts a recreated original marquee, restored Moorish-style chandeliers and sparkling acoustics. Stage entry is included with an ALL STAGES ticket or above. This is a PRIORITY ACCESS venue; seating will be cleared at the end of every performance.

Ernesto Oviedo is one of the preeminent boleristas (singers of romantic ballads) in the world today, emanating from a royal Cuban musical family of soneros. In 2013, he wowed the crowd at the SFJAZZ Center as a featured guest with John Santos’ Filosofía Caribeña project, and a subsequent CD release concert there for Siempre Clásico, produced by Santos, sold out.
