Born in California, the only son of production workers, Myles grew up in the migrant worker rurals of Central California. Myles spent his later teens and twenties touring with his own band eventually finding his way to the San Francisco Bay Area, playing sideman to a wide array of acts, most notably blues man Fillmore Slim and modern day soul man John Nemeth.
Hot off an official appearance at 2017’s Winter NAMM Convention, Myles’ new album With these Blues (2017) reached back to the root of his musical development. Pas releases Reconsider Me (2014) and Rush to Red (2015) combined originals and choice covers that shared the roadworthy story of this well-traveled and very talented Californian. Styles vary from traditional blues to ‘60s and ‘70s blues-rock, following influences all the way to southern rock and soul.
Myles has appeared at music festivals and music venues around the world, including Lucerne Blues Festival (Switzerland), Cognac Blues Passions (France), Blues from the Top (Colorado), Ponderosa Stomp (New Orleans), Davies Symphony Hall (SF), BB King’s Blues Club (NYC, Nashville, Orlando), and the House of Blues in Orlando, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
He’s shared the stage with the likes of Buddy Guy, Elvin Bishop, George Thorogood, Tedeschi Trucks Band, John Nemeth, Fillmore Slim, Everclear, Gov’t Mule, and Zac Brown Band.
