Joyce Randolph’s path to becoming a professional jazz, blues, and gospel singer was both unintentional and unforeseen. A native of Stockton, California, this gifted musician—an accomplished vocalist, violinist, pianist, lyricist, and composer—released her first recording, I Send Him Roses (1995), in her 20th year as a high school English teacher. The debut of this highly authentic vocalist and poignant storyteller touched hearts in a profound way, as have her subsequent recordings.
