OLMT presents charanga, traditional danzón and cha-cha-chá meant to transport audiences back to the Havana social clubs of the 1950s and get them dancing. Since 1996, the ensemble has played at major festivals and venues including Stern Grove Festival, Breckenridge Jazz Festival, The Smithsonian and Lincoln Center. They regularly play Bay Area venues and have produced multiple critically acclaimed recordings.
