Aug 12, Sunday - 4pm
Sushi Confidential Stage

Ratatet is an electro-acoustic sextet from the San Francisco Bay Area which features a front line of bassoon, trombone and vibraphone led by drummer and composer Alan Hall. The group’s all original music is a combination of jazz, American pop, impressionism, blues, and various South American styles and rhythms.

The six musicians of Ratatet have played with a collection of jazz artists and theatrical productions including: Cirque Du Soleil, Geoffrey Keezer, lee Knotz, Bela Fleck and the Flektones, Art Lande, Cuong Vu, Russell Ferrante, Teatro Zinzanni and many others.

Ratatet’s first CD, Arctic, garnered great reviews and was named one of the Best 2016 Bay Area Jazz Releases by the San Jose Mercury News. Grants from SF InterMusic and Creative Sonoma allowed for the upcoming spring release of their second Ridgeway CD, Heroes, Saints and Clowns along with their video, Demographic Shift.

Aside from being active performers, the members are professors, producers, composers and teachers. Three are professors at California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley, California.
