The Haberdasher Shows closes its 2026 season August 5 as the official San José Jazz Summer Fest Pre-Party, a free 21+ celebration of local art and music featuring Moni Valenzuela’s stripped-down trio, painter Arely Cardenas, and a shot at free Summer Fest tickets.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show runs 6–10 p.m., with Haberdasher staying open until midnight. The evening kicks off downtown San José’s signature summer weekend, honoring the artists, small businesses, and community that shaped the series. Guests can sip signature cocktails and non-alcoholic specials while taking in a photo exhibit from Arabela Espinoza. San José Jazz’s Moni Valenzuela headlines as Moni y Los Hermanos Sánchez, joined by brothers Gustavo and Rudy Sanchez on harp and guitarrón, rooted in regional Mexican and Latin jazz traditions. Featured vendor Arely Cardenas will sell original art throughout the night, and the resident band, led by Jonathan Francisco Borca on vocals with Ray Lin on cello and guitar, will keep the music going with special guest Bennett Roth on keys.
