Wally Schnalle is well-known in the Bay Area music scene, an explosive drummer who moves seamlessly from a straight-ahead pocket to experimental fusion. As a composer, his work continues to evolve his use of his hybrid electro-acoustic drum kit. Using the latest computer/music technology Schnalle is achieving a dream he has been striving to realize for decades: having harmonic content as well as other sounds emanating from his usual acoustic drum set. Intriguing compositions, virtuosic soloists and cutting edge tech come together to create an intriguing musical experience.
Bay Area drummer Wally Schnalle presents an extension of his fusion project Idiot Fish, pairing usual cohorts Hristo Vitchev and Dan Robbins with long-time musical collaborator Charles McNeal on saxophone.
