Approaching its 30th anniversary in 2019, Summer Fest has grown into one of the nation’s most important live music events, featuring 100+ performances of the best in jazz, blues, R&B, funk, New Orleans and more. In recent years, the Fest has become renowned for its top-flight lineup of breaking international and Latin artists, presented on stages throughout the event. Our Jazz Beyond programming presents young jazz artists pushing the boundaries of the art form, many influenced by the hip-hop, R&B, neo-soul and electronic music. There’s something for everyone and, even with its awesome scale and breadth, the Fest has remained one of the most affordable events of its kind.

Indoor and outdoor stages provide a variety of environments as well as music. The Fest’s centerpiece is the outdoor Main Stage, but the tight footprint of the Fest makes it easy to sample all the Fest has to offer. Our event is a feast for dancers–you’ll want to get up and move to many of the acts on the Main Stage and the Blues/Big Easy Stage, and there are hundreds of couples enjoying world-class live salsa from noon ’til night at the nearby Salsa Stage.
